I have taught in public and private schools for over 30 years. First, in Edmond Public Schools, then Heritage Hall, and in 2005, along with two colleagues, founded Keystone Adventure School and Farm. This was our opportunity to live out what we believed to be true about children and learning. I was co-founder, director, and teacher for 10 years until branching out to create Oops I Arted in 2015. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades, art, enrichment, math, summer camp programs, after school art classes, and years of tutoring, mentoring and being involved in the lives of children. My passion is empowering children to be the best they can be. I believe art is an excellent way for children to create and express themselves artistically. No right or wrong way, just enjoying the process and learning along the way. I provide a stimulating, child-centered, stress-free, safe environment that becomes an outlet for creativity and learning, not to mention the therapeutic value of art and the gratification it brings. Nothing brings me more pleasure than to see kids have a great time learning and realizing his or her potential academically and/or artistically. - Ms. Risa Wilkins
